Dear Parents and Dancers,
Welcome back to another year with Dance to the Music’s competition team!
We are looking forward to a new, exciting dance season!! As part of
the commitment to the team, each member is expected to be prompt for
class, work hard, and not miss more than 3 practices. It is mandatory
that ALL team members take the following classes listed under their
category:
Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop/Modern/Character/Lyrical
2 classes per week plus a ballet or lyrical class
Ballet / Pointe
2 additional ballet classes per week
See schedule for hi-lighted classes. Choose all other classes according
to your age and level.
The above is a minimum requirement for all competition team members.
Absolutely no exceptions will be made to these rules. Please plan vacations
and
other activities accordingly.

Competition costumes…………………...…$75.00 (per costume) if paid by Oct.15, 2010
$85.00 thereafter
$10.00 added for any extra large size
Additional costs for accessories may be added. Certain shoes will be needed
for different routines. Your teacher will notify you as to what you will need
after classes begin.
Each competition requires a registration fee and entrance fee. The deadline is Feb.1, 2011. We will inform you of the exact amounts and competition dates as the information becomes available. This will be announced by winter break. If anyone has a conflict, let us know immediately so that we can arrange for an understudy. Because of the deadline, those with conflicts announced after Feb.1st will be responsible for payment. Competitions are usually held between March and May. We encourage fundraisers; however, they are the responsibility of the parents. If you have an idea, or wish to be on a committee, please let us know. Finally, we require all team parents to volunteer at the recital and/or dress rehearsal. We really appreciate your support!
